DOMINGO GONZALEZ, PRESIDENT

Domingo Gonzalez is the founder and CEO of Gonzalez & Company Insurance Agency, Inc. He immigrated from Cuba in 1967 and began his insurance career in 1974 with Prudential Insurance Company. In 1978, Domingo became a member of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and established Gonzalez & Company Insurance Agency. What originated as an agency dedicated solely to the issuance of Assigned Risk Auto and Workers’ Compensation policies, Domingo expanded over the next 25 years to include more than 25 carriers, representing various markets. Domingo is still enthusiastically involved in the business today, visiting and meeting with clients to assure that they are satisfied and sufficiently protected.

When not in the office, you will find Domingo on the tennis court or on the golf course – often playing with his clients.     

Judy Gonzalez, Vice President

Judy Gonzalez played crucial roles in the establishment and development of the company. She encouraged the addition of employees and expansion into more accommodating locations. In time, Judy earned an Accident, Health, or Sickness / Property & Casualty / Personal Lines Insurance Producer’s license, and hired others to fulfill her secretarial duties. After 30 years, she remains a fully active employee as Gonzalez & Company’s accountant.

In her spare time, Judy loves to travel and play bridge, golf and tennis with friends and family.   

Chris Gonzalez, General Manager

Chris Gonzalez will preside over the next few chapters in the history of Gonzalez & Company. He joins his father in overseeing the company’s daily operations, and serves as General Manager. Highly motivated and dedicated to his family’s business, Chris is responsible for everything from general strategy to searching for new markets and carriers; from advertising and branding to computer system maintenance; from customer appointments to training employees. He stays ahead of the industry curve by constantly educating himself through various insurance publications.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and is currently studying for the prestigious CPCU designation. He got his feet wet in the family business working part time for Gonzalez & Company during his high school years while coaching tennis. He went on to intern at the Hartford Insurance Company and New York Life during his summers off from college. In his free time, Chris plays competitive tennis, travels, and will try anything new, including cooking, tango, white water rafting, learning new languages, and exploring.

Jennifer Gonzalez, Assistant General Manager

Jennifer Gonzalez earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Miami in 2004. Shortly thereafter, she received her Real Estate Associate’s license and continued to practice real estate in Miami until 2006. She then moved back to New Jersey, earned her Property & Casualty Insurance Producer’s license, and started working in the family business as a Commercial Lines producer.

Away from the office, Jennifer enjoys the outdoors and escaping the cold weather with friends and family.
